2000 pinto mare, not sure of her breed, probably quarter horse mix.

Pumpkin was purchased from a rescue group in AZ Dec 2021.
The previous owner had quit trail riding her.
I wasn't able to test ride.
I just took a chance on this beautiful horse.
But after she got here and trying her out myself, I realized she needed a very skilled rider.
I gave this horse to a friend to ride / own, but now she is moving.
My friend determined that Pumpkin knows English and Western.
Verbal commands.
Barrels.
Some pleasure riding was done and she was fine.
Has done a lot of sitting, unfortunately.
But with a little energy release before the ride, does well.
Expert rider highly recommended.
Pumpkin is quick, strong, intelligent, energetic, athletic, and a great mover.
She likes to go and be challenged.
(doesn't want to be bored) In the past, we considered running her in the Pony Express.
Pumpkin could
easily handle that.
We just never followed through.
She has a very friendly personality with humans, but is a strong alpha mare with other horses.
Best stabled or corraled alone.
She's never had any soundness issues, good to haul (but all I know is that she was trailered here), stands for shoeing, good ground manners.
A small issue with barn sourness.
Dental done April 2021.
Has done well being fed on Bermuda hay with a bit of senior feed.
